Amelia Aglow

Hoop Mentor
Pranayama and Meditation Children’s Yoga
BS in Art from Plymouth State University

Amelia is a believer in the magic and necessity of play. She has been integrating play and mindfulness into her practice for over a decade, and loves to introduce (or reintroduce) people to the hula hoop. Amelia began practicing yoga in 2006 and found it to be the balancing, grounding thing she had been craving. In 2010, she completed a 200 hour Kripalu Yoga Teacher Training, and while in training she was introduced to Thai Yoga Massage. Her attraction to the playful nature of it sent her down a bodywork rabbit hole. Amelia attended Spa Tech Institute from 2012 to 2013 and graduated from both the Holistic Massage and Advanced Polarity Therapy programs. In 2017, she completed an advanced 300 hour Yoga Teacher Training with ShivaShakti School of Yoga that included techniques in Thai Massage, Pranayama and Meditation, and Children’s Yoga.

Whether her clients are looking for more therapeutic work or an energetically based session, Amelia’s offering is to have them walk away feeling lighter than when they arrived. Her modalities include:
Deep Tissue
Thai Yoga Massage
Polarity Therapy
Trigger Point
Pre and Post Natal
AromaTouch Technique
Crystal Work
Her teaching style encourages play and laughter, and she creates a safe container to ask questions.
Amelia is also a part time unschooling mama, permaculture gardener, home renovator, cat snuggler, chicken lady, circus dabbler, and fire dancer.
