What is Reiki? Rei-Ki
“Rei”, Universal Life, Spirit “Ki”, Energy or life force
Reiki is both a system of meditation and spiritual progression AND a method of hands on healing from Japan.
In Reiki classes, you can expect to learn how to clear out energetic blockages from yourself and others, to assist in healing ailments and create space for peace, joy and the free flow of energy ( often called ki, chi, or prana) throughout the body. Students also learn traditional mantras and symbols for each Reiki level as well as tools for taking Reiki clients and ethical principles.
In a Reiki session at Arcana, you can expect a healing session with hands on or slightly above the body aiming to balance energetic centers throughout. The practitioner places hands on or near the person receiving treatment with the intent to transmit, build and move life force energy (ki/chi). The potential benefits to receiving a Reiki treatment include: reduction of stress emotional release, chronic pain, recovery from surgery or anesthesia, and the reduction of the side effects from chemotherapy and radiation treatments. Reiki can lower your heart rate, improve immunity, mental clarity, and enhance your sense of well-being and spirituality.
Self healing is one of the most important aspects of Reiki at any level. Reiki I focuses on learning how to treat yourself, build, clear and enhance your own energy, and develop a consistent meditation practice.
Upon completion of this training, you will receive 4 Attunements and your Reiki I certification, the first degree of training out of 3.
Reiki II is known as the practitioner’s level of training. During this 10 hour weekend participants review self-treatment, learn new advanced hand placement, distance healing, and learn Reiki symbols and their mantras- which function beyond space and time.
Anyone that has received their Reiki I Attunement (in any lineage) can participate in this training.
